Welcome to James Ellis Casting 

I am currently Birmingham based (soon to be based on the Wirral) casting assistant and graduate from the prestigious NFTS. I have graudated from the NFTS Casting Certificate where I have trained to become a casting assistant. My lecturers and course founders are Jane Arnell (Lead Tutor), Shaheen Baig & Jina Jay.  

I am available to assist with any of your casting needs, with a remote office in Birmingham. We are taught to work to best practice and I am proficient in:

•  Working with script and fundamentals of the entire cycle of casting.

•  Processes required for checking actors’ availability and setting up a session

•  Basic knowledge of deal memo, special stipulation and contract formats

•  Equal Opportunities and fair representation policies

•  Professional codes of conduct

•  Audition procedure

•  Development of critical awareness of current and emerging talent.
